Last but not least Wi jie. I met him during my time at the Erasmus University when I was a board member of CSA-EUR (Chinese Student Association – Erasmus University Rotterdam) and a few other TSF members (Sheng & Marc). We had contact during that time but it was mostly related to CSA-EUR since I was board member in 05/06 and he was a board member during 06/07. I graduated in 07 and went to Beijing (Tsinghua University) to learn mandarin and to travel in China. It was quite the surprise to meet Wi Jie at Tsinghua along with Sheng, Marc and Pamela (one of Ana’s bridesmaids). During that year in Beijing we became good friends and part of the TSF family.
I remember the evening study nights in the first semester with us ending up at Propaganda or Vics or Mix with the other dutchies. And of course all the travelling and good times we had during our year in Beijing ending with the Beijing Olympics. We had a lot of good times and every time I hear the song Encore / Numb from Jay-Z feat. Linkin Park you know what time it is. Time to get up and go chill and party. Can I get an Encore …
